Roca: Barcelona

While studying both spanish and international business during my time in Barcelona, my class and I were given the opportunity to tour a business called Roca. Roca is an international bathroom design company who focuses on saving water while carrying some pretty good style while doing so. Roca is a spanish owned company with manufacturers all over the world. Operating in over 135 markets and employing over 21,000 people worldwide. They even have one distributor in New York City, cool. Come for a tour if you'd like!

Our whole class (all 6 of us) traveled via metro to the business park area of Barcelona. Thank gawd our teacher speaks good spanish otherwise small talk would have been smaller than usual. We arrived outside of Roca and didn't quite know what to expect when walking in. As a leader in modern bathroom design I knew it would be a good experience but I wasn't quite prepared for this:

All displays were touch screen advising you on the the overall mission, history, facts and goals for Roca. Below is a picture of such screens and in the back are imaginary people doing everyday things in a bathroom designed by the company. It was weird to look at from far, almost as if they were really there!

These are some of their faucet designs. The whole room was surrounded by connected flat screens adding to the overall epicness of the tour. Just remember this company strives to save water by using their bathroom appliances and their super duper cool design is just an added bonus. Good guys.

They even had foam spiked walls for added appearance. #Stylepoints

Senor Duch and the rest of his international business class. Even the glass walls had LED's lining through them.

This is what the building looks like at night. I wonder what the rent is on a place like this. #Notmypic

So what's next for Hapchap's amateur blog? A little look into the sport of table tennis here in Barcelona. Yes that's right - Ping. Pong. One of my favorites if you didn't know. Turns our Barcelona has some pretty epic spots to get your pong on... stay tuned.
